“Ramona Salo Myrseth and Katarina Skår Lisa are two independent artists that work as a collaborative duo. Together they explore a common yet personal enquiry in contemporary arts through their Sea Sámi heritage. Themes they are occupied with are the ecology of creations, relations, culture, and care. Their aim is to investigate ways of learning and practise with a Sea Sámi cosmology and their landscapes.” Read more here .
During our residency we hosted a creative linoprinting workshop, explored the landscapes of Svalbard, visited Barentsburg and Pyramiden, and explored our procoess through photography and film, together with photographer and videographer Tom Warner.
Ine the woorkshop, Ramona designes a dress, which we printed with our own linocut frames that we made during our stay, as our travelogues. Katarina worked with different movement material through fil and photos in the landscape.
